We are delighted to announce that this year, at Epsom College in Malaysia, pupils in Year 13 have achieved a record number of offers from the best universities in the world. These include Stanford and UC Berkeley (with a full academic scholarship) in the USA; and Cambridge, Imperial and LSE in the UK. It is our pleasure and privilege to support our pupils and their parents along their higher education journey, and we are immensely proud of all of their achievements.
Every year, some Epsom students opt to study in the USA as they are drawn to the breadth of the American university programmes and are not yet ready to commit to one subject area. Those pupils hoping to make an application to a highly selective College in the USA must begin preparing early, ensuring that they have undertaken extensive voluntary work and that they have exposed themselves to a range of experiences beyond the classroom. They will need to prepare for SATs / ACTs and the essays that form part of the application process. At Epsom, we are committed to ensuring that there is an individualised programme of support available to our pupils to prepare and guide them, as they plan for their future pathway.
The UK remains our most popular destination for university study and our pupils can be very proud to have secured offers from a range of the top Russell Group universities, including Cambridge. Economics and Engineering are popular options among our pupils this year, in addition to Law and the Sciences. Our range of challenging and stimulating super curricular activities encourage pupils to explore their love of learning and academia beyond the curriculum and to engage in rigorous academic discourse, which prepares them for the selection process of the most prestigious UK universities.
