The Primary School are from Foundation to Year 5. The focus is on delivering- a progressive visual learning programme which supports the students’ social and emotional development alongside a strong academic programmes with a focus on growth for each child:

• Engaging learning environments both inside and outside the classroom, fostering skills of curiosity, cooperation and creativity.
• A strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy
• Specialised Literacy support programmes ensuring that each student gets the opportunity to learn to their full potential. In some cases, this will be in the form of EAL based on the admissions assessment taken prior to joining the school
• Science and Humanities subjects are taught through an inquiry approach to learning
• Other subjects that form part of the curriculum are Music, Drama, Visual Arts, Physical Education (including swimming), French, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, Agama and PHSE. Subjects are delivered through an inquiry approach using a variety of resources including technology.

The Secondary School are from Years 6-12. The programme is designed to extend students’ academic skills, promote individual development and encourage attitudes of social responsibility through a variety of learning experiences. This includes interdisciplinary learning across a range of academic areas and an extensive activities education programme. With a focus on smaller class sizes and directed growth in Literacy and Numeracy for each student, the Middle Years programme prepares students for their shift in the Senior Years.

Our teaching standpoint and planning is based on the recognition that during these teenage years, students undergo significant physical, emotional, social and academic development. The variety of curricular and co-curricular activities enables them to accept increasing levels of responsibility for their own learning and behaviour.

The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) stresses the need for high prospects in terms of student motivation and achievement, behaviour and appearance which forms part of the schools philosophy and expectations of excellence.

The main academic focus in the senior years is to prepare them for the VCE and study units in a variety of both compulsory and elective subjects. Close attention is also given to the pastoral programme with a focus being aimed at developing the skills and attitudes needed to demonstrate the core attitudes to learning required to be a successful VCE Student. As we move forward in the coming years, it is anticipated that we will be able to offer more than 35 subjects and students will be able to pursue interests in the Arts, Science, Mathematics, Humanities, Languages, PE/Health and Music.
